Foundational teaching is lacking in the Body of Christ. In fact, more often than not, the Body of Christ is missing 1/5th of the five-fold ministry that Jesus mandated. We have let our members get their Scripture knowledge piece meal as the Pastor chooses which one or two verses upon which to base his sermon. We have given up teaching Scripture content in favor of using a few verses in a sermon to make the congregation feel good and to enhance church growth. As a result, individuals within the Body of Christ oftentimes fall for false doctrine or error and as a result struggle with their faith and their Christian walk.

 I am available to do one to three day seminars on the following subjects:

Foundational Content and Teachings of the Old Testament

  • The Pentateuch (Five Books of Moses) and other Historical books
  • Prophetic Books (Including Isaiah, Amos, Hosea, etc)
  • Wisdom Books (Including Proverbs, Psalms, Ecclesiastes, etc)

You will learn the geography and history of ancient Israel and the Middle East, as well as the general content of each book studied. You will also be able to understand the processes by which the Old Testament was composed and developed. Applying the Old Testament to modern times, our personal situations, and our present day situations is also taught. Ethical theories are discussed as well an understanding of personal values based on the ethical theories of the Old Testament. An understanding of how to evaluate Scripture and how to critically analyze Scripture will be taught as well. Some Hebrew words and phrases will also be taught.

Foundational Content and Teachings of the New Testament:

  • The Gospels
  • Writings of Paul
  • Other Letters
  • Revelation

You will learn the geography and history of ancient Israel and the Middle East as well as the general content of the New Testament. How the Gospels came to be written will also be learned. Applying the New Testament to the present day and personal situation is essential to learning the New Testament. Developing a personal value system as a framework for ethical decision making and behavior will be taught. Biblical interpretation will be discussed as well.
